Tailored Wellness Sessions @ CPAL
On day 2 of the conference (Tuesday, March 24), as part of the conference program there will be a tailored wellness session from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
The session is organized by Dr. Saiprasad Ravishankar, who will also share some of the latest research findings from his team on how meditation techniques impact human brain and behavior. The wellness experience will be led by Devin O’Rourke.
“If Steve Jobs was right in saying ‘everyone should learn how to program a computer because it teaches you how to think’ we feel confident in saying every computational scientist should learn how to meditate because it will teach them how to program. Clear observation and analysis of our environment is an enduring goal of human endeavor. Long before AI was assisting this venture, contemplative cultures around the world recognized they can amplify their cognitive clarity through deliberate practice. We have spent decades improving silicon architectures. During this session we’re going to focus on refining the wetware generating the ideas.”
We are offering this opportunity as a way to help ensure your experience at CPAL is not only informative and engaging, but uplifting as well. All are welcome to attend! No special clothing, equipment, etc. is required.
