CPAL 2027 Rising Stars Award

The Conference on Parsimony and Learning (CPAL) continues its Rising Stars Award program to recognize exceptional researchers at an early and pivotal stage of their careers, connect them with the CPAL research community, and broaden participation in research on parsimonious learning.

The Rising Stars Award is a separate call for applications, not a paper-submission or publication track. Applications are reviewed independently from Proceedings and Recent Spotlight submissions.

  • Applications due: December 15, 2026
  • Notification: January 21, 2027
  • Conference: March 23–26, 2027, Tokyo, Japan

Each person may submit one application.

Review Criteria

Applications will be reviewed by the CPAL Rising Stars Program Committee based on:

  • research impact;
  • academic or professional progress, where applicable;
